SchoolGen Week 2017
This week is SchoolGen Week here at WRPS. As part of this, the learners in Te Kete Kākano have been doing a whānau group rotation in the afternoon to learn things about sustainable energy and what it means to be a SchoolGen school.
Here are some of the cool things we have been getting up to!
Rob came to talk to us about solar panels on Tuesday and showed us where our school solar panels are. We went out to the field and looked up on the roof of Te Ara Whānui and Te Ara Maia. Even though we shouldn't look directly at the sun because it can hurt our eyes, Rob gave us some special glasses to use that let you look at the sun. We couldn't see it when it went behind the clouds. Miss Talbot even managed to get a photo. Check it out in our pic collage below!
