We baked BREAD!

Today we learnt about the process of Bread Making! We began in the morning by mixing together our ingredients, then we kneaded the dough, let it prove, and baked it. We enjoyed baking and eating our bread! The recipe is down below so you can make it at home! Bread Put in bowl and stir together White Brown White flour 2c 2c Salt 2t 2t Sugar 2t Golden syrup 1T Yeast 2T 2T Add cold water 1c 1c Then boiling water 1c 1c Stir to a smooth past. Stand 2-3 minutes. Add and mix in Wholemeal flour 2c White flour 3c 1c Add the last cup of white flour slowly. Knead dough in bowl until smooth and elastic (6-8 minutes). Put dough in bowl, cover and put in warm place for 15 minutes. Punch dough down place on floured board and flatten. Cut in half and place in greased tin. Cover and leave to rise in warm place until 2 ½ times in size (1 hour). Bake at 200 degrees C for 1

Friday the 11th of Aug in TKK

What a fabulous day we had today. We had so much fun dressing up and having wacky hair. We were also very lucky to have some baby lambs come to visit. We loved cuddling them.

Alphabet crafts for the first letter of our name

This morning Miss Wallace's whānau group made alphabet crafts of the letter that our names start with. We have some very cool apples for the children who begin with A - Alexis, Aarvi and Annabell, a cat for Cailyn, iguana for Isaac, jaguars for Jack, Jesse and Jacob, butterflies for Blake and Blake, a koala for Keisha, mice for Manraj and Moevasa, and a slithery snake for Sam. The learners did lots of careful cutting and glueing to make their letter. Here are the final products, we are so happy with them 😁
